Talent Acquisition Business Partner - Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for full cycle recruitment of salaried and skilled trades positions. This includes local campus and community recruitment efforts and assisting with foreign recruitment support. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit for mid - high volume salaried and technical positions daily making active progress on all roles. Provide weekly updates to Talent Manager on progress of roles
- Use sources like LinkedIn Recruiter as well as other community and industry partners to source candidates to proactively recruit
- Work with our preferred group of recruiters on difficult to fill positions having frequent check ins
- Conduct high volume of phone screens, interviews, background checks, references, and offer letters. Provide feedback to internal candidates who were unsuccessful on how to develop further
- Follow up regularly with hiring managers using structured check ins to determine hurdles and go forward plans on vacancies
- Keep candidates and hiring managers updated frequently to ensure that the recruitment process moves forward in a timely manner
- Track stages of recruitment to monitor progress against time to fill target of 60 days
- Participate in and source local college and university student events and onsite employer visits to build talent pipeline including attending career fairs and networking events (additional: plant tours, school presentations, case studies)
- Support the team on internal job posting process and tracking
- Responsible for online job postings including Company website, LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor etc.
- Provide recommendations on job postings with Talent Manager to tailor duties to attract candidates more strategically
- Track, maintain and recommend appropriate KPI's and advise on corrective action plans. Present results monthly to Operations and HR teams
- Responsible for maintaining ATS and metrics reporting and candidate assessments
- Determine continuous improvement opportunities for the recruitment team including software use, process changes, and tracking to ensure change shows results
- Assist with the temporary foreign worker program (LMIA) on proof of recruitment and candidate records
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers and implementing new procedures as required
- Support and help train new team members to the Talent team as needed
- Other duties as required
Personal Development - Attend company required training
- Remain current with technical knowledge in areas of responsibility
- Attend regular 1:1 coaching/update sessions
QUALIFICATIONS: - Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Must have 3-5 years of experience with high volume recruitment and headhunting
- Experience in manufacturing/production recruitment is preferred
- Experience with foreign recruitment and successful submission of LMIAs is preferred
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge and in-depth knowledge of data mining and internet research
- Clear understanding of legal requirements
- Outstanding communication skills and team player
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Outgoing and positive attitude
